Install OpenCode

Goal: Install your harness and get its first reply, opened inside your project folder.

Try it

  1. Install OpenCode from opencode.ai.
  2. Open a new terminal and cd into first-project.
  3. Run opencode and choose a model.
  4. Type hello and press Enter.

You're done when OpenCode replies to your "hello", and you started it from inside first-project.

Recap

  • Installing puts OpenCode on your computer once. A new terminal lets it be found.
  • OpenCode works in its working folder: wherever your terminal was when you started it.
  • The model is chosen inside the harness. Any working model is fine for now.
