Lesson 6.3 · 3:38

Where does the data live?

Goal: Know that browser storage stays on one device, and a public link shares the app, not the data.

Try it

  1. Start the practice app. In your usual browser, add a request called "Café table test". Refresh. Confirm it's still there.
  2. Open the same address in a second browser (or a private/incognito window).
  3. Look at the list.
  4. Ask OpenCode: Where does this app save requests? Point to the file and line.

You're done when you've seen the request in browser one, an empty list in browser two, and OpenCode has pointed to the line where the app saves to browser storage.

Recap

  • Browser storage is a private drawer in one browser on one device.
  • A public link shares the app's files, not anyone's data.
  • Empty in another browser is expected. Empty after a same-browser refresh might be a bug.

Next lesson (7.1): make your agent stronger, starting with house rules it reads every session.
