Lesson 9.1 · 3:52

A launch you can undo

Goal: Update your public app while knowing exactly how to go back to the last version that worked.

Try it

Make one tiny visible change to your app, like a footer line or clearer button text.

  1. Save point. Write down your current deployment as "previous working version."
  2. Ask OpenCode to deploy. Read the command, then approve.
  3. Check the change on the public link, on your phone.
  4. Practise the undo: in the Pages deployments list, roll back to the previous version and confirm the old text is back. Then roll forward again.

You're done when you've seen your public app go back to the old version and forward again, and your checklist names the previous working version.

Recap

  • A release is a public version. A rollback returns to an earlier one.
  • Know your previous working version before every launch: save point + deployment.
  • Rollback restores files, not data. Publishing always needs your yes.

Next lesson (9.2): your first change with no prompt supplied.
