Lesson 8.1 · 4:22
How these videos were made
Goal: See a real multi-step agent pipeline from start to finish, and spot the four harness jobs inside it.
Try it
Pick one task you repeat, such as a weekly update email, a social post or a meeting summary. On paper, sketch it as a 3–4 step pipeline:
- Write each step as a box: what goes in → what comes out.
- Under each box, write what you could open and check.
- Put a ✋ on the step where a human must check before it goes further.
You're done when your sketch has 3–4 boxes, every box produces something checkable, and there's at least one ✋.
Recap
- A pipeline is a chain of small steps, each feeding the next.
- Splitting the work means every step leaves something you can check and trace.
- The four harness jobs still apply: files as context, tools that run, a human yes before publishing, and a fix-and-rebuild loop.
Next lesson (8.2): when splitting work across several agents at once helps, and when it causes a mess.
